We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty Mon, Wed & Fri 9am – 6pm and Sat 9am – 6pm after the first Wednesday of the month, otherwise, we are closed who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several assistants working together to save a pet’s life. Emergencies can be things such as a rattlesnake bite, being hit by a car, any issue to do with the eye, and chocolate ingestion, etc. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately – we will take care of your pet 1st and reschedule or cancel non-urgent cases. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. Transfer to a critical care facility may be recommended once your pet is stabilized.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to admit your pet to be seen in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will take the history and discuss with you which options you would allow for treatment of your pet.
